Step 1

From the menu, select Edit, then Preferences.

From the left menu click on the plus sign next to Mail & Newsgroups. This will now turn it into a minus sign, bringing down several menus.

On the left menu click on identity. You will need to fill in the "your name" and "e-mail address."

Click on the Mail Servers (located below Identity in the left menu.)

Click on the Add button to the right of your screen. A new window will pop up and it is titled Mail Server Properties.

In this new window, enter in mail.yourdomain.com in the Server Name box.

In the Server Type box, select POP3 Server.

Toggle the below options to your preference if applicable.

Click OK Under the Outgoing Mail Server Section to the middle right of the window, Enter in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server box a value of mail.yourdomain.com

Enter in your user name for the Outgoing mail server user name.

Click OK.
