Shelter in Place: How Realnets is Working to Keep You Safe
As you’ve surely heard by now, Governor Pritzker has issued a Shelter in Place order. As per that order, Realnets is a designated essential business, and we will continue to serve your IT, development, and web-related needs.
Safety is our foremost concern during these difficult and uncertain times. As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we want to keep you current on what we are doing to keep our team members and everyone in your building safe during any on-site service calls.
Realnets is a client-first, community-focused company, and we are committed to protecting the health and safety of everyone involved. With that in mind, we are taking all possible measures to ensure that our services are delivered in a sanitary and socially responsible manner.
Throughout this process so far and for the foreseeable future, we are following a certain set of health and safety protocols. These precautions have been outlined for you below:
- We have supplied all technicians with sanitizing products, gloves, and disinfectants. We have instructed our technicians to sanitize each and every worksite before and after service. Your health and well-being (as well as the health and well-being of our employees and communities) are of utmost importance. We will take steps to ensure that our work area is well-defined and separate from contact with the public or clients.
- We are relying upon contactless appointments to promote social distancing. We do not require you to meet us on site. Just provide access directions, and we can repair or service the openings as required. Communication can be carried out effectively through phone calls, video chats, text messaging, and email. To this end, please consider how we can together utilize available technology means to discuss and diagnose problems.
- Our corporate office is open for business, from 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday. We will not be allowing customers to do much more than pickup / drop off equipment. We will ensure that clients and staff maintain the CDC recommended 6 feet of social distancing. All surfaces accessed by the public and staff are frequently sanitized.
- Our technicians have all agreed to socially isolate, both during work hours and at home. They are not engaging in any personal social engagements, they are not congregating in our store or warehouse, and we are separating all of our staff. All of our employees have been directed to stay home if they are unwell or exposed to COVID-19, and we are asking them to fill out a health log and have their temperature taken prior to entering our building or departing for any on-site service call.
As an internet, cyber / physical security, and cloud provider, we understand that our services are considered of vital importance. We are mobilizing and evolving our strategies to continue to provide you service while respecting our need to be responsible members of our community and country.
Feel free to let us know if you have any questions or concerns about any service we offer, especially door access and security, remote work support, and cloud migration – all very necessary for businesses to continue operating while we shelter in place. We are ever mindful your concerns for the health and safety of your families, and we want to stress that we are here to help in any way we can. We sincerely care and we believe that, together, we all can get through this challenging time.
